PLUMBER
The Plumber will perform a wide variety of plumbing tasks, including inspection, upkeep and repair, in an educational environment. .Benefit Information:

Essential Functions- Provide quality plumbing services under the supervision of the electrical foreman
- Ensure code compliance through proper installation of plumbing components
- Installs, repairs, and maintains pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in educational structures
- Collaborates with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals
- Follows building plans and blueprints
- Responds to, diagnoses, and resolves plumbing emergencies
- Performs routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems
- Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required
- Prepares bids, budgets, and cost estimates
- Keeps accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used
- Is skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
- Has knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
- Has ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
- Familiar with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
- One year of similar experience preferred; 1-3 years experience as a journeyman plumber highly desirable
- Possess state plumbing license
- Possess valid drivers license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
