Vice President, Food Operations – Government

Unit Description:

Sodexo Government is seeking a qualified leader for theVice President, Food Operationsfor our prestigious client, theU.S. Air Force. This is a remote position with 50% travel nationwide.

This position will have responsibilities and oversite for all the US Air Force operational portfolio of $48 Million in Revenue, over 16 DFACs (dining halls) nationwide.

The qualified candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience in food service operations and production food cost, plate cost, labor management, and a high level of expectations related to quality assurance and contract deliverables.This is a great opportunity to apply your culinary innovation and leadership skills.

Requirements / Skills:

• 10+ years applicable business-related work experience.
• Must have contract food services environment experience.
• Must have strong operations and financial background, ability to lead a large geographically dispersed team, and strong military client relationships.
• Proven ability to manage food and labor cost within a P&L environment.
• Ability to successfully manage within a heavily regulated contractual environment.
• Must be solution oriented and able to innovate and execute deliverables and commitments.
• History of motivating and elevating large teams, critical thinking and decision making around overall talent management.
• Displays passion, energy, drive, agility, and resilience in achieving work-related goals under challenging circumstances.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to communicate, influence and operate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Basic Management Experience - 10 years
Basic Functional Experience -10 years of multi-unit, support, or strategic leadership experience
