Job Description
Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Registered Nurse

Experience:
24 months of role experience is required.
12 months of Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license in hand at the time of application.
This role may require floating to additional units and locations
Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

Additional Details:
Scheduling requirements: All nursing shift are twelve hours from 7 to 7; every other weekend.
Holiday requirements
Floating policy: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units.
Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, completion of My Care Board during hand-off report; use of AIDET with a focus on compassionate connected care.
Must have: Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients, ICU experience
Advanced skills needed: Ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough and accurate assessment skills, and proficient knowledge with cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems, and Don and Doff of PPE.
Dress Code:
Ceil blue scrubs
White or ceil blue scrub jacket optional
If working with COVID patients, green surgery scrubs will be provided upon arrival to unit.Details:
