    Transport RN (PRN)

    3 Shifts per 6 Week Schedule

    Overview:

    The Clinical Nurse-Transport is responsible for complete patient care in conjunction with fellow team members during inter-hospital Transport; including responsibility for assessment and stabilization of patients, as well as performance of necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

    Qualifications:
    • Experience: Pediatric Transport
    • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
    • Required Education: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
    • Preferred Experience: Neonatal and/or Pediatric Transpor
    • Certifications: BLS UPON HIRE, PALS, NRP, ACLS, TRAUMA CORE CLASS WITHIN ONE YEAR.
    • Other: Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, ability to be flexible and adaptable in all aspects of job. Must possess the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient. Must possess the ability to interact with peers, physicians, executives, patient families and other vendors in a manner that represents Mercy. Must possess the ability to meet attendance requirements and performance which may include but is not limited to transport schedule and call schedule if needed.
