    Pay Rate: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

    Position Overview:

    Ensures the safety of the Company's associates, customers, and property by patrolling and monitoring premises, workforce, and visitors. Identify and respond to violations, illegalities, fires, medical emergencies, and noises.

    Essential Job Duties:
    • Secure premises by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
    • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of workforce and visitors..
    • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers with no clear business intention.
    • Answer alarms, investigate disturbances, and remove trespassers from Company property.
    • Complete reports of daily surveillance observations, activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
    • Beware of and report suspicious or unusual activity to management or the appropriate authorities; investigate alarms or noises and remove trespassers from the property.
    • Contact police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
    • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and associates to preserve order and protect property from fires, vandalism, suspicious activity, or other safety hazards.
    • Check doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked; notes in written log any unlocked doors/windows; submits information to supervisor.
    • Assist any persons in building or on grounds needing directions or Company information.
    • Escort people/property to desired destination when monies, documents or safety of property or persons are a concern.
    • Unlock buildings/doors after checking identification and compliance with Company policies.
    • Assist with crowd control and surveillance at large Company events.
    • Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
    • Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and follows all safety procedures; maintain a safe environment.
    • Others duties as assigned by Management


    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Minimum education required- HS or GED preferred
    • Minimum experience required- 1 year minimum experience in police or security field or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
    • Must be skilled in both verbal and written communication in the English language; Spanish communication skills is highly desirable. Skilled in observing situations, decision making, and dealing with people in a courteous way.
    • Special knowledge required- Experience or training with radio communication equipment, cell phones, and surveillance equipment. Knowledgeable in basic security and fire inspection procedures.
    • Other-Computer literacy preferred. Valid Driver's license.
    • Physical demands include standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time, bending or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 75 pounds on occasion. Exposure to varied outdoor temperatures and weather conditions
