    We are looking for a creative, resourceful, problem-solving Design Engineer to help create products that ensures there is clean water for all.


    Description:

    • Our wastewater clarifier drives and servicesare provided tomunicipal wastewater and industrial facilities.
    • This position will strive to improve our processes through the creation of non-existent products or modifications of existing products. Additionally, product enhancements, reducing costs, and design for manufacturability will be an emphasis for this role. As a Design Engineer, you will work under minimal supervision and draw solutions from your experience or the experience of those around you.
    • The Design Engineer will be focused on a consistent review of our existing products as well as determining new products that should be included in our water/wastewater product offerings. You will evaluate design and function to assess the need for simplification, standardization, reliability, parts interchangeability, and cost reduction.
    • Through healthy communication and collaboration, the Design Engineer will work to examine and analyze new applications/designs of products to determine feasibility of operation, manufacturing, and application. Your innovative and process improvement skills will help bring our engineering department to the next level.


    Skills:

    • Water and wastewater equipment experience is preferred.
    • Three years of relevant engineeringexperience in an industrial environment.
    • Experience with CAD design tools.
    • Effective technical writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Positive attitude, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with vendors and/or customers.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • A four-year technical degree (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering - Mechanical Engineers, a PE license is highly preferred) or related experience.
    • Proven initiative and self-direction.
