Additional Information About the RoleMissouri Baptist Medical Center, is currently seeking a FT Cytotechnologist. Are you interested in gaining experience in our Laboratory? Here at Missouri Baptist Medical Center you will have the best of both worlds as a Cytotechnologist. You will have the opportunity on a daily basis to screen routine gyn cases as well as assist with procedures in the hospital. You can expand your knowledge and gain hands-on experience in the lab performing various methods of specimen processing and preparation. - $10,000 Sign On bonus

- Schedule/Hours- 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday
- No weekends or holidays.
- CT (ASCP) credentials required.
OverviewMissouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Childrens Hospital.

Responsible for delivering precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing specimen preparation, staining and screening of specimens submitted for cytological examination.
- Screens accurately GYN and non-GYN cytology samples and may assist with fine needle aspirations on/off campus.
- Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Maintains staining rows and records daily Quality Control of stains and technical quality of cytology preparations.
