    Missouri Baptist Medical Center, is currently seeking a FT Cytotechnologist. Are you interested in gaining experience in our Laboratory? Here at Missouri Baptist Medical Center you will have the best of both worlds as a Cytotechnologist. You will have the opportunity on a daily basis to screen routine gyn cases as well as assist with procedures in the hospital. You can expand your knowledge and gain hands-on experience in the lab performing various methods of specimen processing and preparation.       • $10,000 Sign On bonus
      • Relocation assistance available for
      • Schedule/Hours- 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday
      • No weekends or holidays.
      • CT (ASCP) credentials required.

    Overview

    Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services.     Role Purpose

    Responsible for delivering precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results.

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing specimen preparation, staining and screening of specimens submitted for cytological examination.
  • Screens accurately GYN and non-GYN cytology samples and may assist with fine needle aspirations on/off campus.
  • Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Maintains staining rows and records daily Quality Control of stains and technical quality of cytology preparations.
