Position Title: Linen Assistant - 1st Shift

Wage: $15.92 per hour

Shift: 1st


QPS Employment Group has a great Linen Assistant position available at a company in Quincy, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Linen Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Sort soiled lines as it comes into plant and place into proper areas.

- Unload clean laundry from dryer.

- Feed clean laundry into the press machine.

- Spray the carts with disinfectant and wipe down carts with a towel.

- Take material from basket and shake out creases. Position semi-dry flatwork on a table for feeding into machine. Lay articles on feeder ribbons that convey it into machines. Smooth and guide articles by hand during ironing process to prevent folds and wrinkles.

- Fold flatwork and/ or tumble work pieces discharged from machine and place in baskets on carts or conveyor belts.

- Finishes shirts by operating four presses, such as the sleever, collar-cuff press, and body presses as required.

- Finishes perm-press articles that are dried on hangers, placed on a conveyor and passes through a steam conditioner to remove any wrinkles and set finish.

Linen Assistant Requirements:

- Ability to stand for duration of 8 hour shift.

- Ability to lift up to 40lbs occasionally throughout shift.

- Ability to bend, twist, squat and overhead reach regular.
