  • Job Description

    • Assign, direct, and supervise team members, in a wide variety of tasks. Maintain records of all training activities, evaluate skill gaps and implements cross training to meet department needs.
    • Participate in weekly department meetings and coordinate projects with engineers/trades to evaluate options and develop plans to support department and company realignments, relocations and moves on time and on budget.
    • Work with project managers to provide electrical cost estimates for new machines installation, and/or existing machines moves.
    • Working knowledge on how to size electrical equipment including but not limited to transformers, wiring size, bus plugs and switchgear switches.
    • Manage and update existing Arc Flash program regularly and be a part of Safety Leadership Team.
    • Oversee outside contractors' work to ensure they are following NEC codes and SBD Guidelines.
    • Responsible for obtaining electrical permit for both building.
    • Work within purchasing guidelines to locate and expedite standard and specialized parts, products, and to negotiate contracts for outside services for specialized work. Conduct evaluations of new products/suppliers for quality and pricing.
    • Maintain knowledge of current NFPA 70E, National Electric Code, and Local State regulations.
    • Participate in regular performance evaluations and make effective recommendations for promotions, transfers, hiring, termination. Instruct employees regarding work rules, code requirements, and expectations.
    • Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leading by example with behavior that is consistent with the company values. Conduct hands on training of staff.
    • Provide quality control inspection for assigned projects to ensure they are compliant with all safety protocols, code requirements, regulations, OSHA, and company procedures related to building operations and safety.
    • Establish guidelines for standard work practices involving routine work, machine building, and project work.
    • Responsible for all near miss, accident, quality, safety and property damage investigations and corrective action.
    • Maintain TPM and electrical safety records for auditing.
