    Leidos is in search of an IT Asset Management Specialist to serve as a primary asset manager for the 16th Air Force Mobile Applications & Gaming for Intelligent Courseware (MAGIC) program. Position is located at Joint Base Lackland AFB, San Antonio Texas with up to 50% teleworking. Candidates must reside in the local area. You will support a software development studio of artists, programmers, and designers in creating cutting edge Virtual Reality (VR) and PC advanced training for the United States Air Force.Our client is a visionary leader that is bringing VR and digital training to the forefront of Air Force technical and specialty training for Cyber and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) analysts around the world. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills to directly support U.S. Air Force virtual training.

    As an IT Asset Management Specialist, you will manage Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) hardware and software used to build custom VR training kits, manage software version control, and account for inventory within a database tracking system. You will be responsible for developing a maintaining a data tracking system to capture shipment metrics, assignment, and hardware lifecycle. Additionally, you may support an IT admin with troubleshooting basic IT issues for 30+ member team, ensuring resolution of problems and resolving technical issues with Leidos Central Information Office (CIO) team. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organization skills, problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to transcribe manufacture data to an asset tracking system.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support Program manager with technology asset management, hardware fulfillment operations, and distributed hardware inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).

    • Responsible for corporate and government annual and periodic hardware inventories, allocations/relocations.

    • Brief/report Program Manager and Government customer on inventory status, GFE deployments and all components of asset management.

    • Ability to create deployment and asset management guidance as needed.

    • Assist in data transfer, software installations, setup and maintaining of VR hardware and equipment.

    • Provide monthly inventory reports in accordance with government guidelines.

    • Develop inventory control processes to account for property received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred.

    • Develop material handling processes for shipping, receiving, storage and disposition of property.

    • Establish program level Defense Property Accountability System(s) for incoming property (Line Item Receiving Report), transferred property and excessed property.

    • Coordinate and performs all property accountability functions and property management functions in accordance with government guidance and industry best practices.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 5+ years experience of relevant experience (must include experience in creating/managing inventory tracking systems).

    • High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

    • Strong experience in Microsoft Excel and Access Database software.

    • Experience building custom inventory tracking solutions.

    • Excellent attention to detail and personal commitment to process improvement

    • Ability to work independently and in a distributed team environment.

    • Motivated, self-directed, strong communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong work ethic that strives for continuous process improvement and production efficiency

    • Experience shall include property accounting processes to include associated forms.

    • Professional experience shall include ordering, processing, shipping, receiving, packaging, material handling, property accountability and discharge of excess property.

    • Shall have practical experience with processing paperwork related to DD1149s and DLA Disposition Services.

    • Experience or knowledge of Air Force Information Technology Equipment Custodian (ITEC) processes.

    • Ability to obtain security clearance (requires US citizenship).

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs+.

    • Less than 10% travel may be required.

    • Ability to work in a dynamic cross-functional environment with up to50% teleworking. Work location is Joint Base Lackland AFB, San Antonio Texas.

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
