The Mother Baby Nurse will be based out of the 375+ bed acute care hospital known for their Women and Children Services, newly renovated cancer center, Trauma Center, and advanced surgical department.

Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Mother Baby RN will work alongside a team of specialized nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff to develop and execute customized patient care treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of each individual throughout their stay. The Registered Nurse Mother Baby Postpartum will join the Women and Children Services department.

Responsibilities of the Postpartum Registered Nurse will include assessing, evaluating, monitoring, and treating patients in the Mother Baby department. Additionally, the Mother Baby Registered Nurse will serve as an educational resource for the patients, their families, and new-hire department staff. Working alongside a team of highly specialized RN and LPN nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff allows the RN to cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams when developing individualized patient care treatment plans.

The ideal Mother Baby nurse will have previous clinical nursing experience working in a Labor Delivery, Mother Baby Postpartum, LDR, or LDRP unit, and hold their Associates Degree or BSN. Additionally, the Postpartum Mother Baby RN will hold or be willing to obtain their Compact multi state or North Carolina RN license prior to starting.
