    A BRIEF OVERVIEW
    The CMM Programmer provides quality support to engineering and production through advanced Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming, inspection, and troubleshooting. They work effectively with engineers, inspectors, supervisors and production personnel to resolve quality issues, achieve team objectives, and promote quality principles.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

      • Writes and maintains CMM programs for advanced product lines based on customer and company specifications.
      • Utilize PC-DMIS and Zeiss Calypso
      • Leads troubleshooting and contacts outside technical support services for CMM software as needed.
      • Assists engineers with qualification and validation of new or changed tooling or parts.
      • Prepares detailed inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection results including deviations from engineering specifications.
      • Writes, updates and improves quality procedures as required.
      • Performs testing and inspection at various stages of production, visual and dimensional inspection
      • Ensures customer specifications and quality standards are met
      • Tests and inspects at various product stages during production for defects, such as scratches, burrs, surface finish, and dimensional variances. Notifies Leads and other parties of production issues and assists with identifying and correcting problems in a timely manner
      • Trains personnel and instructs and provides direction to other employees on most efficient use of equipment as needed
      • Quarantines non-conforming parts
      • Completes necessary paperwork to fulfill customer requirements and quality requirements, e.g. recording test data, recording quantities inspected.
      • May train lower level CMM Operators & Programmers.


    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associates (Preferred)
    • High School Or Equivalent (Required)


    EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4+ Years Quality Inspection Experience (Required)
    • 2+ Years of Experience as a CMM Programmer in a Regulated Manufacturing Field (i.e. Medical Devices, Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Food, or Nuclear) (Required)
    • Experience as a Trainer (Preferred)

    • Quality Management - Working Experience

    • ISO 9001 (Quality Management) - Basic Knowledge
