What you will do
Responsible for downloading, commissioning, solving, startup, and warranty support of any assigned local market projects. The System Technician works with the electrical subcontractors and communicates effectively with the Lead System Specialist to ensure events are coordinated accurately. The System Technician uses their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follows our safety procedures, organizes and documents their work, and optimally communicates with the Lead System Specialist. The System Technician impacts Segment Income by assisting the Lead System Specialist wherever possible, minimizing rework, identifying change order opportunities, and effectively documenting and communicating their work with the Lead System Specialist.
How you will do it
- Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools
- Fixes and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems
- Responds to basic warranty calls
- Communicates / Coordinates with Project Owners, sub-contractors and other Trades.
What we look for
Required:
- Proven technical capability
- Able to use hand and power tools (i.e., drills, saws, etc.)
- Basic computer skills required
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication and listening skills
Preferred:
- Associate's Degree in HVAC, Electrical, Instrumentation, Engineering, IT or adjacent Field.
- Two years experience in installing electronic, mechanical systems and/or networking systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems.
