Position Description
CGI is looking to hire a Cloud Architect for it's growing consulting business.
This candidate will play a critical role in defining the architecture, strategy, and best practices for cloud infrastructure deployment and management.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Designing and implementing cloud-based solutions tailored to meet the specific needs and objectives of our organization.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum 6 years of experience in Cloud implementation
- AWS Sagemaker is a must and should be expert on: Proficiency in AWS SageMaker is a must-have requirement, with expertise in leveraging its capabilities for building, training, and deploying machine learning models at scale.
Proven experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, with a focus on AWS SageMaker.
Background in implementing MLOps practices in the cloud environment.
Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Solid grasp of networking concepts, virtualization technologies, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, or similar credentials are highly desirable.
- Prior experience with AWS implementation: Designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions using industry best practices and cloud-native technologies, with prior experience primarily on AWS.
- MLOps implementation background in cloud: Demonstrated background in implementing MLOps practices in the cloud environment
- Very hands on person who can do the actual coding and guide the team on the right solution, process, and cloud architecture.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 - $156,000.
