    Corporate Quality Engineer

    As Corporate Quality Engineer, you use leverage your statistical and analytical capabilities, along with your manufacturing engineering knowledge to drive process quality improvements across Plastipaks manufacturing operations. Youll have the opportunity to accelerate your career growth through broad exposure to the different facets of our organization.

    You Will

    • Drive a culture of process control and variability reduction throughout our entire company, which involves the opportunity for exposure across our business.

    • Identify, track, interpret & publish key quality metrics to the organization.

    • Develop and reinforce standardized programs for maintenance of automated production/in-line inspection systems.

    • Define specifications, working with third party vendors to design & validate in-line quality inspection systems.

    • Lead Process Improvement teams using Lean Six Sigma principles to drive down cost of quality and to streamline processes by removing non-value added activities.

    • Work with the sites, process teams, & IT to determine the key variables to track and monitor on our production lines.

    • Interpret SPC data to improve and understand production processes to increase quality and efficiency.

    • Develop inspection and sampling procedures by working with Quality Analysts to assure quality control at the most economical costs.

    • Assist in the maintenance and further development of Plastipaks Quality Management Systems, including SAP modules used across the company.

    You Have

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering

    • A minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment

    • Capability to interpret control charts (i.e. histograms, Pareto charts, X-MR, X-Bar/R charts, etc.).

    • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies

    • Familiarity with SPC/Analytics software packages, such as MiniTab

    • An eagerness to learn and be exposed to a wide variety of opportunities

    • Ability to travel approximately 25%

    • Experience with SAP (preferred)
