Position Overview: The Operating Room Charge Nurse is a key member of our surgical team, responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of the operating room. This role involves leadership, clinical expertise, and collaboration with various healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership: Provide expert clinical guidance to the operating room staff, including nurses, surgical technicians, and support personnel, ensuring adherence to best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

Surgical Team Coordination: Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members to plan and execute surgical procedures effectively. Ensure proper patient positioning, instrumentation, and supplies.

Patient Care: Assess patient needs, create and implement individualized care plans, and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the perioperative period.

Safety and Quality: Maintain a culture of safety and quality by enforcing aseptic techniques, infection control measures, and compliance with established policies and procedures. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Resource Management: Manage operating room resources efficiently, including staff scheduling, equipment maintenance, and supply inventory. Assist in the selection and procurement of surgical supplies and equipment.

Staff Development: Foster a learning environment by providing guidance, mentoring, and educational opportunities to the operating room team. Participate in staff evaluations and performance improvement activities.
