    Leidos National Security has a dynamic job opportunity for a Network Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to work at our customer site at the National Maritime Intelligence Center, Suitland, MD.

    What Will You Do

    • Provide Network Engineering support to design, operate, maintain, secure, and document to two operational and one developmental enterprise network supporting the Office of Naval Intelligence and its tenant commands (Approx 50 Cisco devices per network).

    • Isolate and resolve simple and complex network problems within the enterprise as well as design, installation, operation, application of security policies, vulnerability analysis and remediation, and the documentation of current physical and logical topographies and any future changes.

    • Work independently and across IT functional boundaries (other network administrators, system administrators, database administrators, etc.) with configuration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrade and system management of network components and other systems to maintain maximum operability to meet critical mission objectives.

    • Provide network administration support in terms of installing, configuring, maintaining security, installing patches, and performing necessary upgrades to keep all network devices up-to-date and secure to include physical patching and software (CISCO IOS).

    • Accountable for maintaining daily operations, monitoring, problem identification/resolution of server/systems, applications, operating systems and analyzing activity and performance ensuring system/application is providing optimum performance and availability.

    • Perform re-accreditation actions such as DISA STIG review, IOS upgrades, vulnerability scan remediation, and document various lists (PPSM, H/W, and S/W) during the networks accreditation cycle.

    • Review Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins related to CISCO products and develop and implement remediation plans.

    • Liaise and communicates effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences (both contractor and federal government employees).

    • Maintain strong relationship with government customer.

    What Sets You Apart (job qualifications)

    • A Current DoD Top Secret/SCI level of clearance

    • Bachelors degree with 8 or more years of practical Network Administration experience in LAN technologies; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

    • Proficiency with TACACs+, data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability analysis and remediation

    • Proven experience with various routing and networking protocols such as: EIGRP, BGP, SNMP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, ARP,dot1Q, VLANs, VPN, GRE, subnetting, NAT, Netflow

    • Experience with data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability analysis & remediation

    • Up to 10% travel may be required

    Experience with:

    - Remedy incident management tool
    - Microsoft and Unix environments
    - Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Visio

    Current Certifications Required

    • Current CompTIA Security+ certification

    • CISCO Certified Network Associate(CCNA) certification - must obtain within 90 days from date of hire

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
