Summary of Position
This position will be responsible for ensuring that purchased goods, materials and services and company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. Service Support Specialist will support one or more procurement categories and respective suppliers. Service Support Specialist has the responsibility for management and performance of tactical procurement responsibilities, including but not limited to, global service parts, PO management, vendor service part drop ship, parts lead-times, gather quotes, invoices, reporting, supplier quality and performance, fill-rate, backorders, savings report, purchase price variance (PPV) analysis. You will directly interact with internal stakeholders from different department and with external vendors.
Accountabilities
- Work closely with BlueCrest Supply Chain Team to execute against defined and prioritized strategic initiatives.
- Ensure the correct parts are ordered through thorough and detailed analysis based on line of business forecast(s), historical buys and introduction/superseding of solutions.
- Processes MRP demands, issues quotes, and generates purchases orders daily.
- Process daily vendor drop ship service spare parts for both machine down and replenishment requirements
- Ensure timely receipt and processing of order acknowledgements.
- Constantly assess inventory levels to optimize across assigned geographic areas.
- Create appropriate dashboards to better drive the business to meet goals and objectives, including savings reports.
- Works with suppliers to ensure accurate lead-times and supplier stocking plans.
- Manage metrics for purchasing and supplier performance.
- Coordinating with Inventory Management on recommendations for EOQ/AOQ adjustments.
- Manages open invoices to ensure timely payments to suppliers and resolve any open issues.
- Conduct self-motivated analysis for key business areas to drive improvements/benefits.
- Assist suppliers with technical issues affecting material deliveries.
- Interface with Strategic Sourcing, Demand Planning, Engineering, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering and material groups to support material deliveries via correct ordering processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiencies, costs and waste reduction.
Required :
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- Work experience as a supply planner with inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with advanced Pivot Tables, advanced Excel functions, and exposure to Macros.
- Experience managing vendors using MRP and ERP systems (i.e Microsoft Dynamics and/or other CRM technologies).
- Experience in data analysis and reporting and making recommendations for process improvement.
Preferred:
- Experience in analytics, inventory, logistics and parts stock management.
- In depth understanding of D365 F&O and Field Service software.
- Work experience in International Supply Chain and Operations
- Supervisory/management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to defend position and pushback effectively to ensure Supply Chain team goals are achieved.
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Must be adept at working in a metric driven organization and possess excellent decision-making skills to drive for results.
- Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, identify and set goals, meet deadlines, etc.
