    Maintenance I&E Technician

This role will perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, monthly safety checks, make repairs and modifications to equipment and repair the facility as needed.

      Job Overview & Responsibilities

      Responsible for the safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally compliant operation of assigned area. Inspects and calibrates instruments and electrical motors required to keep the Chemical Plant running properly. Installs and repairs instruments and electrical motors. Inspects electrical systems.

      What You Will Do:

      To maintain consistency and document compliance with all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), quality and best practice requirements.

      To carry out routine maintenance tasks in line with agreed schedule, recording all results in the appropriate system and reporting back on any anomalies.

      To take on responsibility for carrying out maintenance activities, modifications and calibrations to existing facilities and will be expected to work under maintenance schedules based on plant demands and equipment specifications.

      Maintain I&E maintenance records through the site CMMS, which is currently eMaint.

      To develop routines for existing and new equipment and plant subject to the requirement of the team(s).

      To respond in a timely fashion to breakdown conditions and work in such a way as to minimize downtime.

      To support the Engineering teams and Operations teams as required achieving high levels of availability and plant integrity.

      To provide maintenance coverage throughout the working day and at times, during call out of hours.

      To keep themself up to date with developments in areas relevant to role, and/or legislative and SHE, ensuring understanding of these and any associated new best practice, methods, or techniques.

      To set up, plan and execute calibration procedures and routines, interpret, and report the results of these within agreed timescales and quality standards, and in accordance with project requirements.

      To be responsible for providing clearly documented records of technical data, decisions, methodologies, and calculations used in an agreed format.

      To be responsible for the calibration of equipment to ensure it operates safely, is performing within expected specifications and is available to meet customer needs.

      To troubleshoot issues to identify root cause of more complex problems, rectifying or escalating as appropriate.

      To be able to initiate and maintain a 5S TPM project in your area. TPM training is available.

      To scope multiple Maintenance Work Requests received from the team. Scope to include information on safety, limitations, impact, and budget estimates.

      To work with outside vendors to source new and replacement instrumentation. Initiate quotes for use in ordering spare parts.

      Position Details:

      • Plant Location: Fresno, TX
      • Work Week & Shift: 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday) with call out accountability every other week as needed.
      • Compensation package offered: $38 / hr

      Minimum Qualifications:

      High School Diploma or GED Required.

      Degree or Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance, from an accredited technical school/college is preferred.

      3 years minimum of industrial maintenance experience (required)

      5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (preferred)

      Experience in troubleshooting and repairing AC and DC circuits up to and including 480 Volts AC.

      Experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial instrument loop components, including pressure, temperature, level and flow loops.

      Experience in reading industrial drawings including process and instrument drawings, electrical drawings, and instrument loop drawings.

      Physical Demands:

      Have the ability to bend, squat, climb stairs/ladders

      Lift 50 pounds

      Don a respirator when necessary

      Wear fall protection when necessary

      Preferred Qualifications:

      NCCER Certified

      Technical certification in electrical troubleshooting/maintenance

      Experience with DCS, variable speed drives, and PLC

      SAP experience

      Experience with Distributive Control Systems, operating concepts and maintenance.
