    Located 28 miles south of Rochester, 70 miles west of Syracuse, and 85 miles east of Buffalo, Canandaigua is a city in Ontario County, New York. The population was 10,545 at the 2010 census.     Responsibilities:

    Job Description:

    • Establishes safety as a priority within the facility & utility team, and throughout the plant. Works closely with the facility and utility team on safety suggestions / implementations
    • Ensures a safe work place is provided for all employees; frequently inspects work areas for safety compliance. Completes accident or near miss investigations and schedule appropriate follow-up reviews; identifies areas of needed learning and conducts necessary training to create a zero harm environment
    • Provides strong experience based leadership for the plant buildings, grounds and associated utility support equipment.
    • Develops customer relationships with all departments and serves as their facilities single point of contact, understand their needs and expectations and translate them into facilities and site service solutions
    • Responsible for all productivity in the facility and utility support areas, addressing all day-to-day interruptions as they arise.
    • Ensure all facility & utility related compliance with state, federal and local laws/regulations and corporate directives and programs
    • Oversees all plant buildings and grounds maintenance operations. Responsible for planning, scheduling and directing both direct and indirect staff for facility and utility maintenance. Responsible for monthly department facility / utility maintenance spend
    • Develops, implements and/or continually improves preventive maintenance programs, and procedures for the effective operation of the Facility. Ensures that all plant utility systems are fully inspected per the preventative maintenance schedules and that the work is documented
    • Prepares cost estimates for facility and utility safety programs, repairs and/or renovations, equipment upgrades and cost savings projects. Serve as the project lead for these programs, providing guidance for design, implementation, and installation & startup support
    • Champions plant energy usage related to the facilities and utility equipment monitors and reports on daily & monthly usage, provides input on occurrences and trends and serves as a Point of Contact for the local utility providers
    • Power user of the plant CMMS. Ensures proper recording of maintenance connection tickets, allocation of hours, ticket follow up and ticket closure
    Qualifications:

    Qualifications:

    • A 4 year degree in a technical discipline with 2-3 years industrial facility management experience; or a 2 year degree in a technical discipline with 5 years of industrial facility management experience; or 10+ years of industrial facility management experience
    • Must have prior experience managing projects and plant installations on a large scale (up to $1MM). This includes vendor management to complete tasks.
    • Must have strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read schematics and utilize technical manuals
    • Detailed knowledge of industrial electrical, HVAC, compressed air, vacuum, tower water and chilled water systems / system repairs is required.
    • Knowledge of Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTO) and / or fire protection systems is desired.
    • Proven leadership and experience in a high paced manufacturing setting is required
    • Proven team player experience must include building and/or leading successful facility support and/or maintenance teams
    • Strong communicator and proven ability to communicate with all levels of the organization is required. This position can interact with ALL levels of the organization on a daily basis
    • Proven ability to maintain a positive work environment is required
    • Experienced with at least one CMMS (Computer based Maintenance Management System) is desired
    • Strong computer skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point required. Knowledge of SAP and AutoCad is preferred

The compensation range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is Minimum: $89,100.00/yr. - Maximum $148,500.00/yr.
