    Nurse Practitioner - Community Neurology

    The NP works in collaboration with the Division Chief of the Community Neurology and other Physicians, clinical personnel and other health care providers to deliver quality care to patients with neurological conditions.
    The NP applies knowledge of anatomy, principles or theories of neurology, microbiology, physiology, psychology, human disabilities, pharmacology, gerontology, human growth and development, human developmental disease, and medical terminology as appropriate in the care setting and as appropriate for level of medical licensure.
    The NP conducts patient assessments and complete physical examinations and collects clinical data including vital signs, collecting specimens, prepare patients for tests, therapy, or treatments, order and interpret medical laboratory test results, diagnose medical condition of patient, administer medications or treatments and perform minor surgery.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Masters degree program or a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree
    • Current NYS licensure, Board Certified, and DEA registration
    • Possess or obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) issued by the US Center for Medicaid and Medicare services
    • Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills
    • Professional demeanor and integrity
