This opportunity to be theNurse Director Surgical Services is a chance to take your experience and grow it alongside the leaders of this award-winning system.

This role will report up to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer. Working collaboratively with the Manager of Surgical Services, theNurse Director Surgical Services will lead an outstanding unit of nurses. Supported by two CNOR certified Nursing Supervisors, this Director takes oversight of a high performing department.You will lead the people, growth, innovation, and quality of the unit, there will be limitless opportunities for collaboration.

This fast-paced unit, with a 24/7 in-house consultation team and board certified Physicians, is able to provide fully comprehensive and collaborative care to the patient populations it serves. TheNurse Director Surgical Services will be a main component and advocate on this team. With 450 hospital beds and around 20 operating rooms, this Surgical division needs an exceptional leader.

Job responsibilities for theNurse Director Surgical Services includes operational responsibility for the delivery and quality of patient care provided, assists with developing and implementing performance initiatives, ensuring optimal patient safety and customer satisfaction. In addition, this position guides staff and is responsible for staffing and staffing decisions, budget compliance, coaching and counseling employees on work related performance, and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
