    Electrician

We are looking for smart, experienced electricians, preferably with a minimum of 8 years of experience.

We have multiple positions open. Some are working in large commercial/residential jobs (condos, apartments), others doing high-end custom residential jobs, and another is to do industrial equipment installation and service work.

These are very stable positions, with a couple long established divisions (15-30 years, some more). We're looking for people who are ready to join a great team of other skilled trades installers and service technicians.

You'll be expected to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve leading a crew on the installation portion of jobs. This position does require a very experienced, reliable (full-time) electrician who can handle being a job lead and keeping a crew of 5-10 productive on a daily basis, and may also be open to doing independent service or repair work. We are open to candidates who have experience in different kinds of electrical devices and systems, whether that's roughing in, doing finish work, or new construction, remods in old homes, manufacturing or warehouse equipment and power supply systems, etc.)

    Responsibilities

    • Execute plans for both rough and finish electrical systems
    • Ideally you would be versatile enough to work doing Install AND Service work
    • Prepare, bend and assemble conduit and connect wiring through it
    • Ensure code compliance; expected to have knowledge of NEC (national electric code) as well as local/state electrical requirements
    • Adhere to OSHA, MIOSHA and Company procedures, guidelines and standards
    • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions, and then make the necessary repairs and modifications
    • Transportation of yourself to and from job site each day, 5 days a week, in a reliable and on time manner
    • Bring and maintain your own supply of the appropriate & necessary hand tools

    Skills

    • Proven experience as an electrician - You do not need to have a journeyman card, but at least 8 years of solid electrical experience is expected, 10+ years would be awesome.
    • Real, quantifiable experience in major construction projects, not just small residential projects
    • Demonstrable ability to both use power tools and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints
    • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
    • Good physical condition, ability to work 40 hrs per week, be on your feet 8-10 hrs/day, lift 50 lbs, work at heights, maneuver ladders safely and securely.
    • No issues with heights, working from Ladders or Scissors lifts
    • Diploma in relevant vocational training, a successfully completed apprenticeship, and/or Journeyman Electrician certification is not necessary but will be considered an advantage and given preference in placement
