Leidos QTC Health Services is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support our clinic in Carmel, IN.

What part would you play in this role?
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing routine and basic front and back-office duties. These duties will include answering phones, data entry, assisting in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs and recording information on patients charts, drawing and collecting blood samples and/or urine samples from patients, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and conducting a variety of diagnostic tests.
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Perform routine and basic front and back-office duties, to include phones, data entry.
- Assist in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interview patients
- Measures vital signs.
- Record information on patients' charts
- Draw and collect blood samples and/or urine samples from patients.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis!
- Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests.
You must have:
- Graduate from a medical assistant school and/or graduation from an accredited vocational Medical Assistant program, and/or military equivalent.
- 1 - 5 years of medical assistant experience.
- Experience in Occupational Medicine clinic, General Medical, Internal Medicine work environmentpreferred.
- CPR/ BLScertification required.
- Technology driven medical data entry system experience or related computer data entry.
- A medical clearance that consists of passing an N95 respirator fit test, pass a Tuberculosis/TB test and receive a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or pass a Hepatitis A/B Titer test.
- Exceptional customer service skills that will enhance the interaction with the providers, operational teams and clients
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to demonstrate an understanding of applicable policies and procedures.
- The ability to maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
- One of the following: Medical Assistant, RN, LVN, LPN Diploma or EMT Certification or experience as a Military Medic or Hospital Corpsman.
Typical Day:
- Initial training is 3 weeks long
- Position is located ONSITE at our clinic in Carmel, IN (address: 12188-A North Meridian St Ste 105, Carmel, IN 46032)
- Rotating shifts are between Mon Fri 7am 8pm EST with intermittent weekends between 7am 4pm EST.
Pay and Benefits:
Hourly Rates are based on experience and education. Plus potential quarterly bonuses.
- Level I (0-1 yrs of exp) = $17.20 - $17.43 per hr
- Level II (1-3 yrs of exp) = $17.97 - $18.91 per hr
- Level III (3- 5 yrs of exp) = $19.72 - $20.76 per hr
- Level IV (5 + yrs of exp) = $21.55 - $22.69 per hr
- Level V (10 + yrs of exp) = $23.90 - $25.15 per hr
