  • Job Description

    General Manager

    General Manager will have overall responsibility for Transdevs Waukesha, WI location including the delivery of safe and reliable service, employee oversight, management of assets, risk management, client and customer satisfaction and financial performance. This position reports to the Regional Vice President.

    Assist the client in the following areas: Planning recommendations for service levels and routing, establishment of fares, recommendations and planning of present and future transit facilities, including bus stops and shelters, and preparationof annual capital and operating budgets.

    • Ensure compliance with FTA grant contracts, affirmative action requirements, EEO, 13(c) labor protection agreements, civil rights, alcohol and drug testing, DBE, ADA, clean air act and environmental protection.
    • Scheduling of personnel to operate the bus routes and paratransit services.
    • Ensure employees operate the transit services in accordance with the schedules, routing and service standards approved by the client.
    • Ensure service is operated in accordance with applicable laws.
    • Maintain all records pertaining to the administration, operation and maintenance of the transit system and equipment in a manner approved by the client, and assist the client by providing information required to meet WISDOT and FTA reporting requirements for grants as well as providing operations information to the client so the client can fulfill its reporting responsibilities for the National Transit Database and triennial reviews.
    • Monitors operator absence and tardiness. Initiates appropriate disciplinary action in a manner consistent with company/location policy.
    • Assists in meeting customer requirements. Follow up on all customer issues in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for training and retraining operators and supervisory staff.
    • Manages all departmental scheduling and ensures daily accuracy and payroll accuracy.
