    Nurse Manager PACU

    A San Francisco Bay Area Medical Center is actively seeking a Nurse Manager PACU to oversee the operations of their Ambulatory Surgery Center

    As a PACU Nurse Manager, you will be the heart of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, responsible for providing compassionate care and support to patients as they recover from anesthesia. You will lead a team of dedicated and skilled nurses, ensuring that they deliver the highest quality care to every patient. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans for each patient, making a real difference in their lives. As a PACU Nurse Manager, you will be a vital part of the healthcare team, working to improve patient outcomes and ensure a positive experience for all who come through the PACU.

    Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the Nurse Manager PreOp/PACU will oversee 5 departments within Surgical Services, which include Same Day Surgery, Phase 1 PACU, Phase 2 PACU, Pre Admission Test (PAT), and Presurgical Testing (PST). The Nurse Manager PreOp/PACU will lead a team of 100+ FTES including Assistant Nurse Managers, Specialized Staff RN holding their CPAN certification, and Technicians. The Nurse Manager will primarily have administrative responsibilities including oversight of day-to-day operations, staffing, conflict resolution, and hiring, preparing for upcoming accreditation and surveys, updating policy procedures, managing the budgets, and working with the Nurse Educators to update new hire training material.

    As a PACU Nurse Manager, their primary responsibility is to ensure that patients receive high-quality care while they recover from anesthesia. They oversee the nursing staff in the PACU and manage the day-to-day operations of the unit, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring that all patient care protocols and standards are followed.
