Staffing Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Overview:
Aveanna Healthcare is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work within a facility setting. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members. The LPN is responsible to the Clinical Manager for the assigned Department.
Job Duties:
Adheres to the policies and procedures of the facility/unit.
Possesses the knowledge and skill necessary to provide appropriate care for patients assigned by the facility/unit.
Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
Conducts ongoing assessments as determined by patients condition and/or the client facilitys policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.
Performs appropriate treatments as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner.
Documents patient assessment findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution.
Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and client facility staff.
Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.
Supervision of RN is managed by facility
Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Current CPR certification. Evidence of BLS and all additional required credentials specific to nurse specialty and as designated by facility/unit
Must have the appropriate level of experience and applicable certifications required for the assignment
Current active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of placement
At least one (1) year of experience as an LPN in the United States (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting
Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance .
Environment:
Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases

Specialty Areas:
Critical Care Nurse Preferred 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, or per facility requirements BLS/ACLS certification or as required by facility. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse2 or more years preferred experience working as a Registered Nurse, or per facility requirements. BLS/ACLS certification or as required by facility. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient cares
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)/Perioperative Nurse Preferred 2 years experience, or per facility requirements. BLS/ACLS certification or as required by facility. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Medical Surgical Nurse Preferred 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse, or per facility requirements. BLS certification as required by facility Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Assessment and Treatment Center Nurse (such as Cancer Care or Rehabilitation) Preferred 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse, or per facility requirements. BLS certification or as required by facility. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient cares
Wellness Immunization Services Biometric Screenings Entry screening and Covid-19 testing Clinical research services Wellness case management. Other wellness staffing programs
