    Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

    A renowned academic medical center is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant for an opening in their Transplant Surgery department.

    This prominent academic medical center boasts over 600 beds and offers a wide range of speciality services. Some of these services include oncology, neurology, transplant surgery, orthopedics, women's health, and much more. This hospital is widely known for their comprehensive transplant programs including kidney, liver, pancreas, and small bowel. This transplant team is experienced in performing complex transplant procedures and providing leading comprehensive care for transplant patients in the region.

    The Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant will conduct preoperative assessments and evaluations of transplant candidates and assist in the development and implementation of individualized care for transplant recipients. They will participate in transplant surgery, providing preoperative care and post-operative management if needed. They will collaboratewith the multidisciplinary transplant team to coordinate patient care, including pre-transplant evaluations, donor selection, and post-transplant follow-up. They will alsoProvide patient education and counseling regarding transplant procedures, medications, self-care practices, and lifestyle modifications.

    Nurse Practitioner:

    • Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
    • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner and licensure(PreferblyACNP)
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in transplant surgery, critical care, or a related field.
    • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

    Physician Assistant:

    • Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
    • Current certification as a Physician Assistant and licensure
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in transplant surgery, surgical services, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in surgical procedures, perioperative care, and patient management.
    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to fast-paced clinical environments.
