    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Develops and maintains systems to promote high levels of patient, employee and physician satisfaction; as well as external customer satisfaction. Assumes 24 hour accountability for operations of Labor & Delivery and Antepartum Service, as well as our 25 bed NICU. Responsible for assuring adequate staffing and maintaining appropriate productivity standards. Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the care of patients in designated areas. Develops patient care processes utilizing the nursing process-assessment, care planning, implementation, and reassessment- for identified population per the Colorado Nurse Practice Act. Documents patient care, coordinates interdisciplinary communication and care, participates on hospital committees, facilitate unit meetings, develops and implements unit specific competencies, annual performance of staff, supervises RNs, Certified Scrub Technicians, and Unit Secretaries. Provides coaching and counseling for employees as appropriate. Monitors and addresses employee attendance. Develop strategic plans for OB Services including: program development, quality standards and improvements, patient safety and patient satisfaction initiatives. Demonstrate understanding of Joint Commission Standards. Supports and models facility and department values, policies, and procedures.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • 3-5 years of leadership experience in L&D preferred
    • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license
    • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
