We're looking for an Employment Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team, to take responsibility for the UK and Ireland markets at P&G. If you're passionate about working with governance processes and looking to expand your expertise in Payroll Tax area, our Employment Tax Control & Compliance team is the right place for you!
This role is based at our site at Cobalt Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, in the home of our Global Business Services organisation in the UK. The service centre supports both Europe regional and global business operations, playing a key part in driving transformation of the supported services through technology and business process changes as well as ensuring the processes run efficiently 24/7 globally.
What you will do:
- Work closely with Employment Tax Team, actively monitoring all legal changes impacting payroll and ensure compliance by partnering with the payroll operations team to ensure changes are implemented on time. When required, you will support risk assessment and align with other Teams impacted.
- When issues are identified you will lead resolution in the area of income tax and Social Security, giving guidance to the operations team, ensuring on-time execution and providing support if needed.
- You will be a point of contact with the relevant tax authorities, addressing their queries and supporting payroll operations.
- You will take ownership for communication with the local F&A team and Market Leader for UK and Ireland income taxes and Social Security related matters.
- You'll be responsible for monitoring data on the HMRC portal to identify issues supporting payroll operations with the resolution.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master's Degree from a Business School or University, preferably in finance or related field
- Proven work experience in payroll, accounting and/or employment tax areas
- Experience working with HMRC would be an advantage
- Strong leadership and strategic & analytical thinking
- Good communication skills, with the ability to speak fluent English
