    Summary:

    Occupational Therapist Assistant

    Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is searching for a licensed Occupational Therapist to serve as the developer of therapy program services, for our local ministry, St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL. This role is responsible for evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and executing a treatment plan as outlined by plan of care. The Occupational Therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, co-workers and self-professional development. This position traditionally reports directly to the Director of Rehab Services, and will be based in Breese and another also open in Shelbyville IL.

    The ideal candidate is a talented professional, who demonstrates excellent written, verbal and listening skills, is detail-oriented, organized and compassionate. This leader must also be flexible, empathetic, dependable and patient.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Graduate (e.g., bachelors, master, or doctorate) from an accredited program which meets the licensure requirements in the state of practice is required. Master preferred
    • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice is required.
    • Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.
    • Illinois: Following occupational therapy philosophies and standards of care set by Illinois Occupational Therapy Act and other applicable governing agencies, licensure is required within 6 months for individuals meeting all other applicable requirements.
