Job Summary and Qualifications

To perform all Radiologic procedures as designated in the CAT Technologist position description.

They will maintain registries and continuing education hours when applicable. The will make themselves

available to perform duties as required by the area Supervisor. To assure the highest possible

quality performance and care is delivered to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients according to their physical needs and limitations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

E1. Perform all duties and requirements as outlined in Skills checklist.

E2. Perform all duties and requirements of receiving Job Description.

E3. Gain the appropriate training and experience for the specialty in which they work.

E4. Have a sound understanding of all Radiation and other safety procedures.

E5. Responsible for maintaining appropriate license and continuing education.

E6. Ensures communication of schedule with supervisors in both base and receiving departments.

E7. Able to work with varying technologies such as Meditec, PACS etc.

E8:

A. Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment and upgrades.

B. Remain current in department schedule changes.

C. Keep updated on current protocol changes.

D. Make themselves available for all reasonable requests for services.

E. Ensure both departments Supervisors are aware of planned time off (cont.)

F. When on call they must be available to be on site within 30 minutes of the call out.

G. Communicate any problems or unusual situations with the supervisor in the appropriate

manner.

H. Report any equipment malfunctions and place service call as needed. Ability to communicate patients in an age-appropriate manner and to appropriately involve significant othersls

What qualifications you will need:

Experience

Two years clinical experience in primary modality preferred.

Education:

Associates Degree from a school of radiological technology.

Special Requirements

Current BCLS certification required.

T DH licensure as a Certified Medical Technologist

ARRT (CT) required within 6 months of hire
