Transition Manager
Project/Task Manager
Join GDIT, an experienced leader in cybersecurity solutions to federal government clients. We are pursuing a Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program and need a leader with Project/Task Manager experience for one of our comprehensive cybersecurity programs in the national capitol area. The Project/Task Manager will primarily focus program transition for the new contract and service transition of the solution. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, experience in program and service transition with Department of State programs.- The PM will be responsible for providing full Project Management services for the project, and for each service transition, from the start-up and planning through the transition to another department to conduct operations and maintenance on the deployed solution. This includes coordinating the program's risk management processes, delivery, and action tracking.
- The PM must be highly organized, deadline driven with a strong attention to detail, and able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in challenging situations. This role will build on demonstrated experience working with others to develop, document, and implement processes and procedures geared towards a wide array of program and transition activities.
- The Transition Manager will lead the daily execution of project management functions to ensure teams have clear tasking, resources, and support capability to deliver on customer expectations and contract requirements. Key areas of responsibility will focus on ensuring well-defined processes and procedures, overseeing quality control, establishing measurement methodologies and acceptable performance standards.
- The Transition Manager must demonstrate an exceptional work ethic and excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work with multiple stakeholders, often with differences in priorities, to establish clear, attainable solutions and project plans to achieve intended outcomes. The PM must be able to collaborate with different groups to align priorities and resources by drawing upon shared values and organizational commitment.
- Serve as the Transition Manager for the Department's Commercial Solutions for Classified Systems (CSfC) solution
- Manage a matrixed team, scope, schedule, budget, risks/issues, status reporting and customer communications to implement and deliver projects on time and budget.
- Manage and drive transition processes to meet the business and project management needs of the program.
- Support the Transition with improvements, metrics, quality assurance and general analysis/reports to meet the objectives of the Program/Contract
- Ensure achievement of contract objectives and deliverables.
- Track, monitor, and report risks and issues.
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures
- Performance measurement
- Other programmatic duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Security Clearance Level: Secret (clearable to TS)
Required Skills and Abilities: Strong written, oral, organization, problem solving skills organized
