    Sr. Program Manager, Fleet Remediation Engineering (FRE), DC Engineering

    The Sr. Program Manager - Fleet Remediation Engineering supports our capital improvement programs that modernize and improve our extensive data center fleet. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage in a highly data-driven approach to program management at a global scale. These capital improvements to our data centers are essential for meeting our customers expectations for service and value and meeting Amazons goals for efficiency, speed, and reliability as we continue expanding our data centers to hyper-scale.
    This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with cloud infrastructure at huge scale and the exceptional people that design and implement solutions and operate the infrastructure for the cloud. In this role, the Sr. PM applies their expertise to:

    Develop and get buy-in on plans and programs to improve our data centers and infrastructure
    Implement novel methods for assessing projects status, globally on a huge scale
    Generate high-quality communications and reports that enable leadership to understand challenges and progress, and that provide transparency to all stakeholders
    Track progress, remove blockers, and promote the successful implementation of programs that improve our data centers
    Collaborate across organizations (Engineering, Development, Finance, Operations) and be the linchpin for successful delivery of programs

    Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for engineering, development, finance, integration, and operation of these complex capital improvement programs. You prioritize your activities to support and understand the projects status, solve problems and blockers, and focus on the actions that are most impactful for program success. As an ideal candidate, you:

    Proactively identify risks and problems, and promote solutions for them

    About the team
    Our team ensures that new infrastructure solutions are ready for production in brand new data centers and for planning and implementing similar capabilities, if not the same solution, in existing data centers. We work with a variety of technologies, big and small, across muti-disciplined teams, and impact AWS's entire global infrastructure. We are highly collaborative, build strong relationships, respond quickly to near-term challenges, while planning for long-term solutions. Where we don't have tools or mechanisms needed for our scale, we invent and adapt. Our team is relaxed around one another and quick to share knowledge and support.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - 5+ years of program or project management experience
    - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
    - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    - 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
    - Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
