HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM(Overview & Key Responsibilities):
The Lube-Tech Reliable Plus Lead Install Technician will professionally lead installation jobs at customer sites including communicating with customers, ensuring safety and quality compliance and directing work duties and timelines to install technicians, in the absence of the installation manager.
Lead Duties:
- Leading and training Install Technicians in all aspects of the installation process
- Providing technical guidance and training in the field to technicians on his/her team
- Properly leading the others on the team to achieve 100% quality at turnover
- Going above and beyond to complete projects safely and on time while setting a good example for everyone on the team
- Communicating any accidents or incidents to the install manager as soon as its safe to do so
- Managing labor hours on the install and informs the install manager when more or less labor is needed
Job Site Duties:
- Completing all aspects of installation and commissioning of state-of-the-art vehicle wash equipment
- Turning in commissioning forms and any other documentation upon completion of the job
- Providing the customer with training on the operation of their new equipment
- Loading and transporting the trailer for the install to ensure all items required are taken to the job site
- Communicating requirements and timing to trades and general contractors on the job site to ensure on-time completion of projects
- Keeping the Install Manager informed of how the job is progressing, including communicating all issues to the install manager as soon as possible so that they can be resolved in a timely matter
- Confirming that labor and supplies for the job are being recorded properly
- always Following and enforcing safety rules and procedures
- Using forklifts for safely unloading equipment deliveries at job sites and safely moving equipment into place
- Working with processes that are unique to each site
- Modifying or updating equipment as required
- Maintaining tools and materials in a safe professional manner
- Developing improved methods for fulfilling responsibilities
- Accurately perceiving information from the Install Manager
- Trouble shooting issues with the Install Manager to find and resolve the cause
- Interfacing with customers and co-workers in an appropriate manner
- Keeping job sites safe, clean, and organized at all times
- Making sure equipment supplies and tools are kept in a secure location to control avoidable loss
- Programing the equipment being installed
- Taking notes to perform a task after being trained on that task
- Continuing to learn ever changing and more advanced machines as required
- Properly maintaining a company-provided vehicle
- always Ensuring DOT compliance, including inspections and maintaining an up-to-date medical card
- Performing all other tasks and duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
Experience and/or Training:
- 5+ years of direct vehicle wash industry experience
- Previous experience leading/managing a team of technicians preferred
- Strong customer service skills
Licenses/Certificates:
- Valid Drivers License
- Class B License preferred (training can be provided to obtain Class B License)
- Valid DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 36 months or 2 in the last 12 months
- No DWI or DUI in the past 5 years
- No Key crashes in the past 12 months or no more than one key crash in the past 36 Months. Key crashes include but are not limited to: rear end, lane change, intersecting and or loss of control.
Technology/Equipment: Basic understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics
Travel Requirements: Requires daily travel to customer sites in a company provided vehicle. Overnight travel required approximately 40 weeks/year for installation jobs
