    Renal Nurse Educator

    The Renal Nurse Educator will help advancethe practice of nephrology nursing by providing clinical teaching and supervision to all Dialysis Unit Staff. This role will also direct and provide staff development, including training, testing, and orientation. The Dialysis Team Leader will report to the Nursing Director of Dialysis. This individual will collaborate with other health care providers to manage, support, and coordinate the care of acute and critically ill patients.

    Among other responsibilities, the Renal Nurse Educator will have the knowledge of all applicable regulations governing End Stage Renal Disease and Dialysis (ESRD) with proven success in managing and improving ESRD clinical outcome.

    Qualifications:

    • Current RN licensurein Maryland
    • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred
    • Minimum five (5) years related clinical experience
    • National certification in clinical specialty required (Nephrology); OR must be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
    • AHA BLS required
    • Teaching experience preferred
