    Temporary Mechanic

    UAW Representation Mechanic

    The Mechanic - Testing & Analysis is responsible for:

    • The design and fabrication of test fixtures to conduct vehicle body closures & structures testing (hood, side door, liftgate, swing gate, etc.)
    • Build up and teardown of closures and structures tests.
    • Retrofit various chassis components on-vehicle for Brakes, Steering and Suspension, perform suspension alignments.
    • Build front and rear cradle modules.
    • Wheel/tire assemblies.
    • Sub-assembly of front struts and rear shock dampers.
    • Conduct fatigue and ultimate testing.
    • Monitor tests at regular intervals and adjust tests parameters (controller, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical fixturing) as required.
    • Logging, reporting, and working with test engineers and customers at each phase of the test.
    • Support general operations of the test lab.
