Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary: The Lead Monitor Technician (MT) Observes telemetry monitors to support the delivery of care to all patients requiring telemetry monitoring. The Lead MT complies with all hospital policies/procedures. In addition, the Lead MT assists with ongoing training and/or precepting of new and current employees as directed by the supervisor. The Lead MT is responsible for ensuring new processes, equipment and other changes are communicated and/or taught to other MTs.

What qualifications you will need:

Education Required and/or preferred:Ability to read, write and understand written and oral instructions. High School diploma or equivalent (GED); Successful completion of EKG course and exam.

Experience Required or Preferred:6 months prior hospital clinical or patient care experience or one semester of nursing school or experience as a CNA, EMT, or equivalent experience.

Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities: Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current BLS required
