RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Staff Accountant you will rely on your confidence and good judgment to make sound business decisions. You will tap into your resourcefulness and take initiative to jump into the role and learn by doing.
Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and other accounting reports
Review and analyze general ledger account balances, verify accuracy, make recommendations for corrections, prepare monthly reconciliations, and explain monthly variances
Update daily banking for multiple accounts, including foreign currency
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
Maintain monthly general ledger account reconciliations
Monthly journal entries and accruals
Experience with general ledger and month end close
Basic Qualifications:Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field, AND 1 year of accounting experience
Must have above average knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word
Preferred Qualifications:Experience: CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Experience with Great Plains software
Must be able to multi task, meet deadlines, and possess a commitment to accuracy excellent oral and written communication skills
Outstanding analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills
Maintains attention to detail, completing multiple or repetitive tasks while demonstrating a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals
Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks accordingly and meet time sensitive deadlines
