    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs all modes of respiratory therapy in patients of varying ages and medical conditions. Therapy is performed in accordance with the standards of practice as defined by Tomball Regional Hospital. The Respiratory Care Practitioner works independently, utilizing a variety of sophisticated instruments and technology and demonstrates good judgment and decision making in the treatment and handling of the individual patient. The Lead RRT may oversee other staff and assist the department management as directed. Also, identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and services on an on-going basis.

    What qualifications you will need:

    Experience:

    • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE current, recent or previous experience providing patient care for all age groups in a clinical or academic setting. NICU experience preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years experience required
    • Must be able to work nights and rotating weekends

    Education:

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Respiratory Care Practitioner Certificatethrough the Texas Medical Board
    • NBRC certification
    • Associate Degree from an approved Respiratory care program
