What Will You Do
Install, rebuild, configure, maintain, administer and document Unix/Linux systems, software, system related products, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with established standards.
Create, document and implement repeatable processes to install, test, upgrade, maintain and patch system environments and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve system-related incidents detected during monitoring, by other technical teams, or reported by users.
Review Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins (IAVA/B) related to current operating environment and implement remediation plans.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for routine and non-routine procedures that assist in the management and operation of the Linux Enterprise operating environments.
Perform any required re-accreditation actions such as DISA STIG review, OS upgrades, vulnerability scan remediation, and document various required lists (PPSM, H/W, and S/W) during the normal accreditation cycle.
Recommend changes to the government for improvement in the operating and/or security environment.
Your Areas of Knowledge & Expertise (job qualifications)
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 or more years of related work experience; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
6 or more years of demonstrated experience in administering and maintaining Linux systems and applications.
6 or more years technical experience of installation, configuration, and security of server environments.
Expert knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) System Administrator and Network technologies and protocols
Experience operating in virtual environments.
Knowledge of cloud architectures and solutions.
Proven experience with applying various security standards (i.e. DISA STIGs, ACAS scans, etc.).
Proficiency in Docker container strategies, automated testing, and monitoring.
Experience with Bash, Ksh shell scripting
Clearance Required
An active DoD Top Secret/SCI level of clearance(to be considered, must have currently)
Certifications Required
- A Current IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570-M Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ce or equivalent) or the ability to obtain within 30 days from date of offer of acceptance.

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
