Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at Good Samaritan Hospital, located in San Jose, ~50 miles southeast of San Francisco. This 474 bed (ave census 275) acute care hospital is part of the Good Samaritan Health System and HCA.

This position has the option of working one day/week virtually.

After 12 months you will receive 4 weeks vacation + 3 personal days!
Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal!
Money toward continuing education events!
Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement annually!

Salary range 110,000-144,000.00

The successful candidate will:

• manage the clinical nutrition program within Good Sam Hospital;
• supervise a team of 6 Registered Dietitians and 8 diet office staff;
• drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects;
• manage Sodexos menu management system (healthtouch);
• provide training and education to the food service staff, as well as interdisciplinary healthcare professionals;
• be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the depart on hospital wide committees;
• provide direct patient care on a variety of units as needed; and
• serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in food service management as needed.

• be a Registered Dietitian with acute care experience and demonstrate a great clinical knowledge base;
• have proven supervisory or management experience;
• demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills;
• be experienced with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care;
• have a strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care; and
• be bilingual in Spanish (preferred).

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, a masters degree will be required)

Basic Management Experience: 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework
Basic Functional Experience: 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists.

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
• Specialty credential in area(s) of focused management practice, as applicable
