As a Nurse Coordinator for the Trauma Program, you'll play a vital role in ensuring trauma patients receive the best care, making a significant impact on patient outcomes and the community you serve.
Requirements:
As the Nurse Coordinator for the Trauma Program, you will be responsible for coordinating the Performance Improvement related to trauma services. To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Advanced Knowledge: You should possess advanced knowledge in the treatment of trauma patients and have an understanding of Performance Improvement processes.
- Trauma Program Coordination: You will be responsible for coordinating the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety program, covering both Adult and Pediatric trauma cases, in accordance with the American College of Surgeons Guidelines.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the integrity and timeliness of the Trauma Registry.
- Compliance: Demonstrate full knowledge of American College of Surgeons Trauma Standards and work with the Program Director to ensure compliance.
- Improvement Focus: Collaborate with the Program Director to evaluate the trauma response and actively participate in all trauma cases to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Continuous Learning: Attend and maintain education requirements as set by the American College of Surgeons, as well as participating in state, regional, local, and national events.
- Effective Communication: Regularly meet with Trauma staff to ensure compliance in communication between various departments and disciplines.
- Tech-Savvy: Utilize standard MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Master's Degree preferred
- NYS RN License Required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS Required
