    Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator

    Location: Onsite in Sacramento, CA

    Pay Range: $58.00 per hour

    Whats the Job?
    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Transact-SQL (TSQL). The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our SQL Server databases, ensuring high performance, availability, and security. Additionally, proficiency in SSRS and TSQL is crucial for developing and maintaining reports and queries. Tasks include:

    Database Management:

    • Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases.
    • Monitor database performance and optimize for efficiency.
    • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability.

    SSRS Development:
    • Develop and maintain SSRS reports for various business requirements.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
    • Optimize and enhance existing SSRS reports for performance and usability.

    TSQL Development:
    • Write and optimize complex TSQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
    • Collaborate with application developers to optimize SQL queries within applications.

    Backup and Recovery:
    • Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
    • Perform regular backups and ensure data restoration capabilities.

    Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce database security measures.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.

    Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with DBA team as well as cross-functional teams to understand and address database-related requirements.
    • Provide technical support and expertise to team members.

    Must have:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Proven experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator.
    • Strong expertise in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Transact-SQL (TSQL).
    • Experience in database design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with database security and compliance standards.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    Preferred Skills:
    • Performance tuning and optimization of SQL Server databases.
    • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
    • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions.
    • Experience in Ansible is a plus.
