    Direct and coordinate activities for capital projects for the Fleetwood Plant including scope of projects, justification, supplier bids, construction and commissioning. Individual will work with various department heads of the Evansville Plant in coordination of capital and improvement projects. Serves as a resource for the maintenance and production departments in developing the Companys maintenance plan and works to meet financial objectives and goals. Experience with electrical and controls systems engineering a plus. The Plant Engineer will possess a strong operational knowledge of all pieces of process equipment as well as a solid understanding of process theory, supervisory skills and facilitation of essential communication.

    • Direct, review and manage capital projects.
    • Direct preparation of or prepares drawings and specific type of equipment and materials to be used in construction and equipment installation.
    • Estimate labor, materials, construction and equipment costs.
    • Review equipment needs and modifications with various department heads.
    • Inspect completed installations for conformance of design and equipment specifications and safety standards.

    • Field supervision of contractors during installation for conformance with operational and company standards.
    • Work in conjunction with management, maintenance, production and quality control personnel to resolve reliability issues and recommends measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
    • Participate in the development of preventative maintenance program (PMs and PdMs) in conjunction with production, EH&S, quality and maintenance staff.
    • Review and participates in schedule development and execution for annual shutdown.
    • Review and participate in developing plant budget.
    • Develop Job Safety analysis and Environmental standards into capital projects for conformance with operational, APCD, EPA, MSHA, and other governmental standards.
    • Ensure the availability of required spare parts (BOMs) related to capital projects, requisitions tools, equipment and supplies required for operations of the capital projects.
    • Participate in strategies and implementation of new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
    • Maintain plant engineering library including drawings, specifications, OEM manuals, etc.
    • Confer with management, engineering and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance issues and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
    • Serve as role model in the promotion of safety awareness throughout the plant and Company; promptly addresses safety concerns.
    • Must complete all assigned work in compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements (i.e., MSHA, DOT, DOL, etc.), including safety programs administered at a State or Local level where allowed by the Department of Labor. Must maintain awareness of surroundings at all times and perform their work in a safe and productive manner. In the event of a workplace incident, immediate notification to a manager as well as an incident report is required.
    • Participate in the plant on-call system.

    HERES WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering is required. Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years professional experience in the field of mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering and project management.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in providing support for heavy manufacturing, cement manufacturing preferred.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Project, SAP and CAD software.
    • Understanding of contractual matters (negotiation and legal aspects).
    • Demonstrated experience in leadership and project management, problem solving and creativity, strategic thinking, and decision making.
