    Plant Superintendent

    Scope of Position:

    Working under the general direction of the Vice President of Production and Supply Chain, performs a wide variety of duties associated with directing the manufacturing activities of the Dallas facility. Provide information and guidance in all manufacturing activities and issues to managers and employees.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for promoting a safe culture and awareness for the entire plant.
    • Develops and implements operating policies and programs consistent with the business plan and corporate polices by providing direction to subordinate supervisors to execute plans to completion.
    • Provide strong leadership and training through visible leadership on the floor providing technical and administrative oversight of work through observation and floor surveillance.
    • Using the ERP to plan the daily operation scheduling of plant production to ensure optimal utilization of plant equipment, personnel, and inventory requirements. Responsible to adjust the adjust the schedules as needed to meet production goals.
    • Ensuring that all data and files are accurate in the ERP for costing jobs.
    • Using data-driven decision making to develop manpower loading requirements based on production guidelines, sets priorities for schedule based on equipment efficiency and materials supply.
    • Check BOMs from engineering and mark-up all BOMs jobs to be manufactured in the shop.
    • Anticipates and investigates major causes of delays and ensures that corrective action is taken.
    • Take a leadership role in continuous improvement initiatives, including planning and leading such projects.
    • Implement 5S tools and methodologies.
    • Develops KPIs to monitor production.
    • Identifies critical points in the manufacturing process and defines corrective action solutions.
    • Understands line balancing and shop loading techniques.
    • Assumes responsibility and reports on throughput and ship-on-time goals.
    • Works from drawings, diagrams, schematics, and specific verbal and written instructions.
    • Assist in testing, adjusting, and troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment.
    • Works with support services in the areas of Engineering, Sales, Materials, Quality Human Resources, and corporate Manufacturing Services as required.
    • Conforms to all Quality and Environmental Management System policies, objectives, and obligations.
    • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Position Requirements:

    • 10 -15 years of proven supervisory experience in a discrete manufacturing environment.
    • Strong oral and written skills.
    • Ability to learn and aggressively adapt to varied work assignments.
    • Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills.
    • In - depth technical knowledge of HVAC products and equipment.
    • Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite apps.
    • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
