    Job Summary and Qualifications

    House Supervisor Nurse

    The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for staffing, patient care oversight, emergency direction, and handling complaints appropriately. Functions as the administrative resource and expert clinician. The Supervisor provides operational and administrative oversight to all departments during off hours and weekends. The Administrative Supervisor can problem solve and evaluate nursing care provided on the units and assign personnel accordingly

    Whatyou will do in this role:

    • You will represent the hospital as a key leader and coordinates issues to appropriate level for problem solving
    • You will supervise nursing care and ascertain the condition of patients by rounding on all nursing units.
    • You will communicate with nursing Managers/Directors concerning issues on the individual unit(s).
    • You will communicate with the Administrator on Call regarding situations of critical importance.
    • You will work collaboratively with Bed Management to insure appropriateness of admissions and with Directors/Managers for the proper placement of patients on the units.
    • You will facilitate the flow of clinical information for the transfer/admission of patients from clinical, hospitals, emergency departments and other locations external to TriStar Centennial Medical Center
    • You will assist with managing patient flow to eliminate delays and decrease potential issues.
    • You will serve as a resource for staff and providers for all operational needs.
    • You will be responsible for the oversight of staffing for the hospital during overnight hours.
    • You will serve as liaison for per diem agency staffing.
    • You will support the facilitys Standards of Performance and ICARE values

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Current Registered Nurse licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or approved compact state
    • Bachelors degree, a plan to complete a bachelors degree within an agreed upon timeframe, or four years of psychiatric experience required
    • A minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required
    • Supervisory/Managerial experience is preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • BLS certification required
