    Clinical Radiologic Registered Nurse

    As a Clinical Radiologic Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care while collaborating with patients, their families, and an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise in assessing patients' needs, planning care, and implementing medical and nursing regimens will contribute significantly to the hospital's commitment to unparalleled patient care.

    Your illuminating responsibilities include:

    • Adhering to performance standards, policies, and behaviors
    • Utilizing the nursing process to address patients' biophysical, psychosocial, educational, safety/environmental, and discharge planning needs
    • Collaborating and communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
    • Integrating patient rights and nursing ethics into practice
    • Reducing the risk of nosocomial infections through adherence to infection control standards
    • Following Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals
    • Delegating activities to ancillary staff in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act
    • Adhering to the ANA Code of Nursing Ethics & Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice
    • Supporting and promoting the hospital's Professional Nursing Practice Model
    • Participating in Performance Improvement initiatives
    • Completing competency requirements and attending mandatory in-services and staff meetings
    • Utilizing cost containment practices and assuming Charge Nurse responsibilities

    To qualify, you must:

    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current New York registration
    • Hold a Baccalaureate in Nursing (BSN), meeting the hospital's BSN requirements
    • Possess knowledge of current nursing, medical, and health trends and practices
    • Have prior acute care experience (required)
    • Hold BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (meeting the hospital's certification requirements)
    • Obtain NRP certification if working in the Mother-Baby unit, Labor & Delivery, or NICU (meeting the hospital's certification requirements)
