    Overview:

    The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to PACS.

    Qualifications:
    • Required Education: Secondary and some post-secondary. Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology Program.
    • Preferred Education: Post-secondary.
    • Certifications: ARRT in Radiography, or if new graduate registry eligible. ARRT (MR) Registry or required within 18 months of hire. BLS Basic Life Support Within 3 Months Of Hire. Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License required.
    • Preferred Licensure: ARRT (MRI)
    • Other: Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Operate various types of office equipment, including a computer, fax machine, telephone, printer and copy machine.
