    Critical Care CNS Clinical Nurse Specialist

    This exceptional Medical Center in Alaska is actively searching for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join its Education Department and work in Inpatient Critical Care Services. Join one of Anchorages top hospitals, and support an extensive Adult ICU services department.

    Having earned multiple awards for quality and consistent recognition for high-quality patient services, this 300+bed acute care medical center in the Anchorage Area has been a staple of the community for over 50 years. The Critical Care CNS will help contribute to the success of this hospital by supporting education and nursing practice for a facility thats earned national recognition for superior Heart Care, Outstanding Patient Experience, and a High-Acuity Adult Critical Care Services.

    Reporting to the Director of Clinical Education and Nursing Practice, the Clinical Nurse Specialist Critical Care will focus primarily on improving clinical practice in the large Intensive Care Services Department. Working in close collaboration with the Director of CCU / ICU, a CCRN Critical Care Department Manager, ICU Supervisors, and education specialists around the hospital, the CNS will play an integral role in supporting education and patient care.

    The Critical Care Unit at this fantastic hospital has a reputation for providing great patient care, and its prepared for a wide array of care situation. As a center of excellence for Stroke Care and Chest Pain, along with holding Trauma Center designation, the Intensive Care Department provides compassionate and knowledgeable care for high-acuity patients. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to this care by serving as a subject matter and practice expert for the unit.

    The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work in conjunction with Education Specialists throughout this Acute Care Medical Center to develop, implement, and evaluate educational materials especially as they relate to Critical Care Services. In this, the CNS will promote an avid dedication to evidence-based best practices, consistent focus on superior patient-centered care, and a valuable resource for Nursing Leadership.
